Lifeline Advocacy

Helping people navigate service systems to receive positive results for
children, adults and seniors with education, health and living a quality life.

WHAT IS A NON-LEGAL ADVOCATE?

Non-Legal Advocates are professionals who help individuals navigate systems and decipher processes established by said systems. They are not attorneys. But, their knowledge in service systems (i.e. special education, healthcare, disability services, senior care, etc.) can provide people information to help them understand their choices and rights. Their expertise can help with a variety of issues related to your situation, including helping organize and understand records and reports, attend meetings, help make informed choices and access services in the community. Most importantly, a non-legal advocate will support you to work collaboratively with the service system and confidently work toward your goals. A significant benefit of hiring a non-legal advocate is that they assist you in resolving issues and relieve you of the stresses of navigating independently.

WHY HIRE LIFELINE ADVOCACY?

Often parents and families need more support than the traditional resource persons/center can offer. We can assist you when you get to that point or from the very beginning. We want you to learn as much as you can about the process, but this isn’t our focus. Our focus is centered on our philosophy of throwing you a “lifeline” when you need someone to jump in and help you survive the current crisis you are experiencing.
